The player takes on the role of a Colonial commander, and must build bases, gather resources, and train troops in order to defeat the Skrulls. The game is set in the year 2049 on a newly terraformed Mars, where two factions, the human Colonials and the insect-like aliens known as the Skrulls, are vying for control of the planet. Dark Colony is a 1997 real-time strategy video game developed and published by GameTek for Microsoft Windows.
